Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 October 2026

By using Talking Stick (talkingstick.me) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who can use it

Talking Stick is free to use and provided by its owner.

What the service is

Talking Stick offers temporary voice and text chat rooms with a speaking stick that lets one person speak at a time. Anyone who has a room code can join.

Rules

You are responsible for what you say and write. You must not:

Other people in a room

Anyone in a room can hear and read what you share, and could record it without us knowing. Do not share sensitive personal information. We do not record voice, and we do not monitor rooms in real time.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you write. By sending it, you allow us to store it and show it to the people in your room for as long as the room exists, so the service can work.

Removal

We may remove rooms or block access at any time if these rules are broken or to protect the service or others.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, and we may change, pause or stop it, or remove features, at any time. We try to keep it running but do not promise it will always be available, error free or suitable for a particular purpose. Do not use it for emergencies.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what users say or do, or for losses from using or not being able to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

Reporting

To report abuse or ask a question, email talkingstick.me@gmail.com. Include the room code and time if you can.

Changes and law

We may change these terms; continued use means you accept the updated version. These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established, without taking away protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
